The Christmas tradition at Cameron Highlands Resort continued this year with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony. Malaysia's very own, Dato' Jimmy Choo OBE, was the guest of honour this year as the world renowned shoe designer officially lit the Christmas trees to herald the start of the Christmas season.
The resort was filled with a joyous atmosphere befitting of the festive season. The Ballroom was the meal setting and the Wagyu tenderloin was the popular dish choice for the occasion. It, along with appetizing Snow White Dancing Prawns and a delicious Porcini Consommé with Truffle and Mushroom Quenelles left guests full and more than satisfied with the delectable feast presented to them.
After dinner came a trip to the Jim Thompson Tea Room where guests got to sing Christmas carols around the piano next to the crackling fireplace while enjoying drinks in hand and scrumptious chocolates that were laid out in a splendorous decorative style alongside chocolate coated shoes. The chocolates weren't the only dessert on offer as Dato' Jimmy Choo was presented with a surprise birthday cake which he was only to happy to share around.
Cameron Highlands Resort lies nestled on a verdant plateau amidst tea plantations and rolling hills in the highlands. This tranquil boutique hideaway promises those who visit an experience infused with the splendour, romance and nostalgia of Cameron Highland’s grand colonial heritage. The resort makes an ideal setting for a traditional Christmas with its festively decorated surroundings that include a spectacular display of lights which help to create the magical atmosphere which rests over the highlands of Malaysia.
